The DJB officials had shown the repair and replacement of pipeline work at sewage pumping stations of Mandawali and Geeta Colony whereas no work was actually done at the site and still payment was released to the contractors.
An FIR has been lodged over serious irregularities in execution of work in 2013.
"During the course of investigation it was revealed that the officials of Delhi Jal Board had awarded tender of repair and replacement of pipeline work at sewage pumping stations of Mandawali and Geeta Colony showing urgent necessity of work and without following the laid down codal formalities for awarding such work to a contractor.
"Even while calling for the tenders for the work, fictitious proposals of two competitive firms were placed showing their inability to do the work and thus only a single contractor of ulterior choice of Delhi Jal Board officials remained," it said.
