Kher, however, agreed that it caused some difficulty to the people due to its abruptness as any kind of change requires citizens to step out of their comfort zone for a while.
The actor, who was here to preside over an event at the global trade show exhibition organised by Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, described the decision to ban Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes as a "war against black money."
Blasting those opposing the demonetisation, the actor said some people have suddenly realised that lower sections are facing troubles.
Comparing demonetisation move to renovation of one's house, he said, "Don't you have to sleep in the drawing room or on the roof when some renovation is done in your house or it is being painted. Don't we adjust accordingly when our houses undergo a renovation?"
The actor also opined that scrapping of Article 370 is in the interest of people of Jammu and Kashmir for its development, the way development is taking place in the other states of country.
"The students going to schools want peaceful atmosphere in the state as they want to pursue their study and they are sincere about it," he said.
Kher hoped that the Heart of Asia conference pitching for dismantling of safe havens for terror groups will help in stopping terrorists from the state.
The declaration at the conference raises hope amongst Kashmiri pandit migrants to return to Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
