"The arrival of a Pawan Hans helicopter for aerial surveillance over Ghaziabad and Noida has been stalled as US security agencies have denied permission...," Assistant Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada said.
The UP government had decided to provided a chopper for a period of 12 days, starting from January 20 to January 31, to the authorities for aerial surveillance in Ghaziabad and Noida. But Pawan Hans Ltd. Could not procure NOCs from various authorities for its chopper to be used by the Ghaziabad Police, the officer added.
This means airports adjoining Delhi like Jaipur, Agra and as far as Lucknow or Amritsar may not operate flights when the Republic Day function will be on in the national capital.
