Thousands of 'waarkaris' (devotees) today visited the Nivruttinath Maharaj Samadhi Temple at Trimbakeshwar, 29 km from here, on the occasion of 'Shattila Ekadashi'.
Devotees took a dip at Kushavartha Teerth.
Maharashtra water resources minister and Nashik district guardian minister Girish Mahajan and his wife Sadhana Mahajan performed 'mahapooja' in the temple early in the morning.
MSRTC pressed additional buses into service to carry the devotees.
