The complaint had been filed by members of Mahabubnagar Bus Victims Families Action Committee accusing the police of acting against them during their protest against Transport Minister B Satyanarayana at the Ministers' Quarters in the city.
Based on their complaint, the APSHRC today directed the DGP B Prasada Rao to submit a report by December 16.
Members of the committee in their complaint alleged that they had been threatened by police during the protest.
The protesters had demanded resignation of the Transport Minister and alleged that even one month after the incident, the victims' families had neither received any compensation, nor those responsible for the incident had been arrested.
However, as the protesters attempted to lay siege and barged into the ministers' quarters, the police had taken them into custody, they said.
