Police today booked a residents' association secretary and other members for grabbing notified land and selling unauthorised plots along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
Greater Noida Authority Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rama Raman said an FIR had been lodged against S K Dwievdi, Secretary of Samman Sahkari Awas Samiti, and its other members for grabbing land at Badoli Bangar village.
Raman also appealed to the public not to buy land from private individuals without verifying about it from the authority as land in the area can be developed and sold only by the authorities.
He said, besides demolishing the unauthorised colonies, the authority will also book the land-grabbers.
He said a drive against unauthorised constructions have been launched. The district administration and police have been told to demolish all unauthorised constructions in the notified areas, he added.
