Dikshit launched the online registration of properties service at the Rohini Sub Registrar's Office.
The online registration was first introduced in Mehrauli Sub-Registrar's office in July. Gradually, the new system will be put in place in the remaining 11 such offices.
Under the new system, people will be able to get their properties registered on the same day of filing of application.
The system will be highly secured as proper audit trail and cross verification of transaction would be ensured, officials said adding the online system will ensure transparency and eliminate the role of middlemen in the registration process.
Under the new system, each applicant will have to come to the sub-registrar office with a pre-fixed appointment. The appointment can be taken online by accessing the website of the Revenue department.
