About 1,500 doctors of Indore branch of IMA will not work in OPDs of all government and private hospitals, IMA honorary secretary Dr Shekhar D Rao said here today.
The Centre has set up a National Commission for Health and given it powers under which National Council for Human Resource in Health, Bachelor of Rural Health Care and MCI will be part of its jurisdiction, he said.
The Central government is also trying to amend certain Acts related to clinical establishment and private practice which is a matter of "great concern" for doctors, he said.
Barring emergency services, the doctors would not be present in the hospitals, he added.
