Dolly Parton fasts and prays before writing songs
The 68-year-old country music star prefers to go to her old mountain home before writing new music, reported Contactmusic.
"One of my favourite things to do in the world is to have time set aside, like two or three weeks, to say I'm just going to write.
"Go up to my old mountain home. I fast and pray for a few days to get myself into kind of a spiritual place, even get through the headaches and everything with the fasting till I get kind of... Yeah, I hate to fast," she said.
