A group of BJP leaders today said the party should not nominate Satish Punia for the Amber Assembly seat.

The group led by party's district vice president Balram Doon, and which also included former divisional presidents Ratan Sharma and Shivram Bagda, requested senior BJP leaders to give ticket to any local candidate instead, a party official said.

They said Punia, who is the party's state spokesperson, hailed from Churu district and the BJP had to face defeat in the last assembly election
