The vials were recovered from a place under the jurisdiction of Bypass police station, DRI sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, DRI officials intercepted and searched a private bus - Bengal Tiger.
The bus was travelling to Kolkata from Patna. The DRI officials found two bags of banned "Ketamine" injections from the bus.
The approximate value of the seized 1238 vials of Ketamine in international market would be around Rs 68.13 lakh, sources said.
The person who booked the consignment was not travelling in the bus, he told DRI officials.
The psychotropic drug was being smuggled from Patna to Myanmar via Kolkata and Manipur by violating the provisions of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, official sources said.
The matter is being investigated, A DRI official said.
