Pakistan's Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) in a statement said 3000 kg of hashish and 1000 kg of cocaine headed for Belgium via Afghanistan was seized.
"The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), in continuation of war against drugs intercepted a gigantic consignment of hashish amounting to 3000 kilograms being transported from Afghanistan and was destined to Belgium," the statement said.
"A joint operation was conducted by the mutual cooperation of Pakistan and Belgium authorities thus creating an impact on drug traffickers operating around the world," it added.
The investigation by the Belgian authorities on import of hashish also found that the drug barons in Pakistan were importing cocaine from South America.
"Succeeding development resulted in interception of container with 1000 kilogram cocaine," the statement added.
Praising the cooperation between authorities of the two countries, ANF expressed hope that the "cooperation will go a long way in nabbing the traffickers."
Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
