Dy civil surgeon robbed of Rs 34,000 through ATM card

Unknown miscreants allegedly used the ATM card of the Deputy Civil Surgeon here to withdraw more than Rs 30,000 from his bank account, police said today.
According to a police spokesman, Dr Rambhagat, who is attached to the Badshah Khan Hospital here, had lodged a complaint that he lost his wallet two days back at a local mall.
Apart from Rs 8,000 in cash, the wallet also contained his ATM card and Driving Licence, police said, adding that Rambhagat has now discovered that whoever found his wallet had used his ATM card to withdraw Rs 34,000 from his bank account.
