East Singhbhum DCC stage demonstration against BJP

East Singhbhum District Congress Committee today staged a demonstration in front of the district headquarter in protest against the alleged "political vendetta" of BJP to implicate AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in regard with National Herald case.
Congress workers led by DCC President Vijay Khan assembled in front of the district headquarter here and staged the demonstration demanding quashing of the case filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy against the Congress leaders.
Later, talking to newsmen, Khan told newsmen that the case against the AICC President and Vice-President was politically motivated and BJP "deliberately" wanted to settle score to derive political mileage.

The Union government, he said, wanted to divert the minds of the people from its failure to discharge its responsibility during the last one year in power and targeted the Congress leaders to tarnish their image.
Referring to the ruling BJP government's approach towards opposition parties, Khan said the situation was worse than Emergency.
Later, a DCC delegation met the Deputy Commissioner of the district and handed over a memorandum addressed to the Jharkhand Governor in support of their demand.
