The tournament will be played in a league-cum-knockout format. Bihar and West Bengal are the defending champions in men's and women's category respectively.
"Eight teams each in men's and women's section including West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odissa, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Bihar will vie for the three-day championship," organising president Sachhidanand Rai told reporters here today.
He said matches will be played in two grounds and the final will be held on September 25.
International player Mohammad Sazid hailing from Jharkhand would be the star attraction of the tournament.
