Eastern Condiments plans to set up new plant in Karnataka

Kerala-based Eastern Condiments, which manufactures and markets spice powders, plans to set up a new plant in Karnataka.
"We are building our ninth plant in Karnataka, which will be the latest in the list that includes facilities in Rasayani, Maharashtra, Ghaziabad, UP, Theni, Tamil Nadu and Guntur, Andhra Pradesh," Eastern Condiments Managing Director Firoz Meeran said in a statement.
The company has a strong growth across all its geographic markets and product lines is a reaffirmation of its direct sales and close to consumer strategy. Our new state-of- the-art facility will allow our customers to have access to freshness, purity and local flavors, Meeran said.
Eastern Condiments already has three facilities in Kerala, and one in the Middle East. It has been growing in the recent past clocking 36 per cent growth in six months of the fiscal ended September 30.
Eastern Condiments, one of India's largest volume spice exporters with over 50 per cent market share in processed spices in the Middle East, has appointed a sales head for North America. The company has recently set up new regional headquarters in Bangalore.
Eastern Condiments with over 100 product offerings in its portfolio, has recently crossed the milestone of Rs 800 crore in turnover.
The company has facilities in Adimaly, Theni, Kothamangalam, Guntoor, Ghaziabad, Rasayani, Ras al kaima and Dubai and exports its products to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Yemen, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and has been the largest Exports award winner from Spices Board for past 15 years.
