Edible oils slip on lower demand

Groundnut oil slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseed wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Elsewhere, refined palmolein also declined following subdued demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Linseed oil was also steady due to absence of any large-scale buying.
In the edible section, groundnut oil and refined palmolein slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg each to Rs 945 and Rs 460 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 950 and Rs 465, respectively.
In the non-edible section, castor seed bold and castor oil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 3,850 per 100 kg and Rs 800 per 10 kg, respectively.

Linseed oil maintained yesterday's closing level to Rs 875.
