The EDMC House under Section 177 of Delhi Municipal Corporation Act resolved to extend the relief to property owners affected by the increase in property tax due to the implementation of the third Municipal Valuation Committee (MVC) recommendations, said a senior municipal corporation official.
As per the recommendations of the third MVC, the categories of properties in some areas have been upgraded. The affected property owners have demanded that the step be rolled back, a resolution passed by the EDMC House said.
