Education necessary to eradicate poverty: Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said education is necessary to eradicate poverty in the state and every citizen should be literate.
Praising girls who want to read, Das said the government will assist them in their desire if any problem arises.
He was speaking at the Adivasi Vikash Ucha Vidyalaya at Phori panchayat in Gumla district where a 'Kisan mela' was organised and 24 schemes were either inaugurated or foundation stones were laid, according to an official release.
Unveiling a bust of Kartik Oraon, Das asked to spread the thoughts and writings of Oraon.
He called upon to strengthen the 'Central Sarna Samiti', which has taken the cudgel to fulfil the dreams of Kartik Oraon.

The government has set 2018 as the goal to provide electricity to villages and schools, Das said, adding work on electrification or solar energy was on.
