Eight camera traps were stolen from Rajaji Tiger Reserve, a forest official said on Sunday.
The camera traps were stolen from four different areas of the reserve in the first week of May, said RTR Warden Komal Singh.
They were stolen from Beriwada, Suswa beat of Ramgarh range, Ganga Majhara beat of Motichur range and Haridwar range, she added.
A case has been registered and a probe is underway, Singh said.
The burglars may be people from nearby areas on whose illegal activity a tab was kept with the help of these camera traps, she said.
