Eight killed, over 40 injured in different incidents

Eight persons, including three children, were killed and over 40 others injured today in different incidents in Bihar's Nawada district, a police officer said.
Three persons were killed and over 40 others injured when a speeding bus overturned near Hardiya locality under Rajauli police station area, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sarfur Ahmed said.
The victims were identified as Binda Rajvanshi, Manoj Singh and Kundan Kumar, he said adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
In another accident, an auto-rickshaw rammed into a stationary truck near Sukhnar village under Sirdala police station area in which two children, Kundan Kumar (4) and his infant brother, died on the spot, while their parents sustained injuries.
In two related incidents, Roshan Kumar (8) was crushed to death by an unidentified four-wheeler near a bazar under Akbarpur police station, while a youth, identified as Vikas Kumar Nirala was run over by a train near Tilaiya railway station, Ahmed said.
In another incident, a woman Phulbani Devi was lynched by her fellow villagers in Rajabhigha village under Rajauli police station area over a petty dispute, the DSP said adding the body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe was on to find out the facts of the incident.
