Asgar Mian was arrested after a 25-year-old woman, a daily wage labourer, lodged a complaint yesterday that she was molested while returning from work, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailendra Prasad Burnwal said.
Later, she narrated it to her husband, who was not at home at the time of the incident, the village 'mukhiya' and 'chowkidar' of the village. The enraged villagers then went to the house of the accused and set it on fire, the SP said.
