The "Shameless" actress's West Los Angeles residence was robbed sometime around March 22 and 24, reported People magazine.
Officer Mota of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations team confirmed that the commercial crimes department is investigating the burglary.
The 30-year-old actress took to Twitter to thank LAPD for their service, though she did not specify the exact reason for her post, simply tweeting, "Thank you to the LAPD. I fully support the police efforts and dedication."
TMZ, who first broke the news, claims Rossum was not home during the burglary and a housekeeper discovered the break-in.
