Empty bomb shells recovered in village near Air Force station
Press Trust of India Jaisalmer Six empty bomb shells were found near the Jaisalmer Air Force Station, the police said.
The shells were found after villagers spotted them in a sandy desert area of Moolsagar village in the district.
On receiving information from the villagers, the police rushed and recovered the shells bearing "05" mark yesterday, the police said.
"These are empty bomb shells having no explosive matter...Probably scrapped one...Made in the year 2005...There is no danger to anyone from this stuff", quoting Air Force official, the police said.
Police also informed the defence department and will submit the shells to the authorities.
