"All the heads of Forest and its allied departments should ensure time bound completion of all the ongoing forest and environment conservation projects in the state. Any delay or negligence in this regard would be viewed seriously," Minister for Forest and Environment Mian Altaf Ahmed said.
Ahmed, while chairing a high-level meeting of the department, reviewed the ongoing development projects in the state.
The Minister asked authorities to formulate action plans for identified areas and submit the same for approval so that the projects did not suffer due to lack of funds.
Ahmed instructed pollution board authorities to intensify inspections through special checking squads to enforce blanket ban on use of polythene.
He asked authorities to initiate strict action against units manufacturing non-degradable and re-cycled polythene bags.
