"Turkey being an important Islamic country and having cordial relations with both India and Pakistan, we hope President Erdogan will make efforts to end the political uncertainly prevalent in the region since decades," he said in a statement here.
The Turkish President is currently on a state visit to India.
Welcoming Erodgan's statement wherein he called for a multilateral dialogue for resolving Kashmir problem, he said "The Turkish President is well aware that how Kashmir dispute is the main source of tension between the two nations".
Asserting that Kashmiris have always longed for good relations between India and Pakistan, the separatist leader said it was also the historical reality that due to lingering on the Kashmir issue, two nations have adopted confrontational policy against each other, and fought three wars over Kashmir.
