The class XII girl was returning home from tuition at Bandhaghat when three motorcycle borne youths passed lewd comments to her.
The angry girl slapped one of the youths and another man also protested.
Police said the youths went away but returned sometime later and hurled a bomb in the area. However, none was injured in the explosion.
One of the three youths was arrested later.
