AirAsia India launches AirAsia BIG programme for fliers

AirAsia India today became the first domestic no-frills airline to have introduced a frequent fliers programme to its customers with the launch of AirAsia BIG.
The loyalty programme Big offers its members a slew of benefits including free flights and add-ons such as baggage, meals, hot seats, among others, AirAsia India said in a release.
"Now accumulate BIG points and redeem free flights and avail many other AirAsia add-ons," the airline said.
To enhance the loyalty benefits, BIG has also tied up with more than 100 partners globally, the release said adding passengers can earn BIG points when they fly with AirAsia or when they make purchases with the partners.

"BIG as a loyalty programme is something I feel very passionately about and for a low-cost carrier to have a loyalty programme is another way in how we are revolutionising Air travel in India," AirAsia India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mittu Chandilya said.
Besides other benefits, BIG members are also entitled to additional benefits such as getting 24 hours priority access to AirAsia promos online.
Promo flights are redeemable from 500 BIG points, it said adding few promo flights of AirAsia will give loyalty programme members a chance of availing benefits even if they have as low as zero BIG point.

Flyer can choose an option of cash plus BIG Point, if one does not have enough BIG points to redeem flights, it said.
