Judge S S Bhishma held Kuldeep Gawande, former chief of Daryapur Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), guilty under various sections of IPC for rape.
The court also imposed fine of Rs 50,000 on Gawande. He will have to spend three more months in jail if he failed to pay the amount.
The incident occurred on March 8, 2011 when Gawande called his domestic help to his bedroom and raped her while his daughters were sleeping in different rooms.
The court examined four witnesses in the trial and also relied on circumstantial evidence against Gawande, who runs a school in the city.
