45-year-old Prakash, who had gone to his farm on April 29 was found dead in a well there by his family members on April 30, they said.
Prakash's brother Rameshbhai has lodged a complaint with police suspecting that one Rumal from Madhya Pradesh could be behind the murder, police said.
"Prakash was strangulated to death and his body was later thrown in the well," said investigating officer V D Dhorda.
He said a hunt was on to trace Rumal who is missing since the incident. "If needed, a police team would be sent to Madhya Pradesh," Dhorda added.
