"Raghav (Raghavendran) was a very dear employee. Even though it is close to 200,000 employees, every day our endeavour is to work like a family to treat our employees as family members," Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka said.
Speaking to reporters after announcing Infosys fourth quarter results, he said that on hearing about losing him our first request to our HR team was to treat him like he was our "own brother, that is the way we work and think".
Ganeshan who had been missing since the deadly Brussels bombings was on March 28th confirmed dead in the blast in the metro at Maelbeek station.
Infosys Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ranganath D Mavinakere said: "For all our employees we have coverage and on compassionate grounds from our employee trust we also had a contribution.
"Unfortunately we will not be able to disclose those amounts, but you be rest assured that the company has gone out of its way. Since he was on line of employment, he will be supported in what ever way both monetarily and otherwise."
Responding to a question on any budget allocated for such cases, Mavinakere said, "we have our internal policies how to address this, but we will not be able to disclose."
