The Satara MP, a direct descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji, was denied anticipatory bail by the high court upholding a lower court's order in the case.
The Satara Police had registered an FIR against Bhosale and his supporters on March 22 this year after the the owner of a manufacturing unit in Lonand Industrial Estate in the west Maharashtra district alleged they had demanded "protection money" from him.
Responding to queries of reporters over the foot march taken out by Bhosale along with his supporters in Satara last night, the minister said, "No action was taken against the MP last night to avoid the law and order problems".
