Fake currency seized from two persons in Malda Town station

Two persons were today apprehended from Malda Town Ralway station for possessing fake currency with a face value of over Rupees two lakh.
GRP IC Krishnagopal Dutta said the BSF personnel had followed the two men upto the station and then informed the RPF who nabbed them.
The men, hailing from Katihar and Purnea in Bihar, were then handed over to the GRP, Dutta said.
The fake notes having a face value of Rs 2.84 lakh were in the denomination of 1000 and 500, he said.
The persons had plans of boarding a train from Malda Town, he said.
