Fake products seized; seven held

Seven persons were today arrested and duplicate products that were being stored and sold under the brand name of Samsung seized following a raid conducted on seven shops here, officials said.
Video Piracy Cell, CB CID Unit, Madurai along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR) conducted enforcement action on the shops at Glasscara Street Market and seized duplicate products that were being stored and sold under the brand name of Samsung, they said.
The value of the seized products is Rs 15 lakh, a release said.
Seven people have been arrested in this connection and FIR has been lodged against the accused,officials said.
