The raid was conducted last evening, following complaints from Casio, a leading lifestyle brand, and recovered a number of watches from the shop, police said today.
Preliminary inquiry by the manufacturers, who accompanied the police, revealed the supplier was sourcing the fake watches and distributing them.
A case has been registered against the retailer for selling counterfeit watches.
Meanwhile, legal head of Casio India, Umesh Kumar Gupta in a release said that Casio had a philosophy of "Creativity and Contribution" and wanted to curb counterfeiters in order to protect the company's brand image and product value.
