Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar says he has no immediate plans of coming up with the third installment of "Rock On" and "Don".
"As of now I am busy with 'Raees' (producer of the film). We all are charged up to promote the film. Then I have Nikhil Advani's film, it's a special film. We are not thinking about 'Rock On 3' and 'Don 3' at the moment. As and when we have plan, idea we shall let everybody know about it," says Farhan in an interview here.
Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, "Rock On 2", a musical drama film, which is a sequel to the 2008 movie, "Rock On!!". Both the installments are produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
"Rock On 2", released in November this year, which had Shraddha Kapoor, Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Shashank Arora, and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
The film received mixed to positive reviews and was affected by the the Centre's announcement to demonetise higher-value currency notes.
Farhan and Sidhwani brought the rights of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Don" to be made with Shah Rukh. The remake version came in 2006 and saw SRK stepping into the shoes of Big B and it also starred Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
The second installment of King Khan's "Don" released in 2011 with the "Fan" star and Priyanka reprising their roles.
There has been a buzz about "Don 3" since quite sometime. But time and again the makers have insisted that they haven't cast anyone and they will not begin work on the third part soon.
Farhan is excited about "Raees" featuring SRK, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddqui in the lead. Directed by Rahul Dholakia the film is set to release on January 25.
On acting front, Farhan will be seen next in Nikhil Advani produced film "Lucknow Central".
The film was to feature Kriti Sanon. But the buzz is the "Heropanti" actress has opted out of the film due to date issues.
"I had heard that there were some date issues with Kriti. I don't know exactly anything so I don't want to say anything. Nikhil Advani would be the best person to talk about it," says the 42-year-old actor.
Reportedly, "Lucknow Central" follows the story of few jail inmates who have formed a band in prison to rekindle their passion for music.
The film will see Farhan play a prisoner.
