The students smashed the plant pots and glasses at the reception and damaged the two buses.
They said they were promised degree and they had paid the amount too but were not given degree even after completion of courses.
FDDI administration then called in the police, after which ASP Gaurav Grover, DSP Anup Singh and city magistrate Bachhu Singh reached site and pacified the agitating students.
Since then, the students were protesting.
From 2012 and 2014, around 3,609 students had taken admission. FDDI only provide diploma courses.
For each semester, students claim to have paid fee of Rs. 85,000 though under the MoU fee was Rs.56,000.
Sandeep Bhatia, DGM (Training) of FDDI, said "we are taking measures to provide degrees to these students who had taken admission as per the MoU with Mewar University. We have sent proposal to get INI status. Once we get this status, then there will be no difficulty. We are also exploring other options so that degree can begiven."
In the absence of degrees, several students claim they were not getting jobs.
