At least seven intruders entered Debta's house and decamped with gold and silver ornaments, cash and other valuables.
The exact amount of missing jewellery and cash has not been ascertained yet.
The robbers, who were speaking in Telugu, entered the house after breaking a window grill in the wee hours and tied Debta, his wife and their son in a room at knifepoint.
Today's incident followed another dacoity in the house of a retired High Court judge here on May 30.
