Fintech firm Mahagram ties up with TJSB Sahakari Bank to launch payments system

Fintech firm Mahagram has tied-up with TJSB Sahakari Bank to launch Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) on 15,000 touch points across India that will facilitate payment of utility bills, local taxes, premiums among others.
An agent institution (AI) registered on NPCI, Mahagram has tied up with TJSB Sahakari Bank for BBPS, Mahagram said in a statement today.
The company said it has already amalgamated its payment services with the BBPS monitored by the National Payment Corporation (NPCI).
Under its digital financial services platform 'eGram', Mahagram said it is trying to resolve difficulties by assisting in a number of services to people's doorsteps.
BBPS allows payments of utility bills like electricity, telecom, DTH, gas, water bills.
The company said it is planning to expand the services such as payment of insurance premium, mutual funds, school fees, institution fees, credit cards, local taxes and invoice payments.
