A fire broke out at a house in Prem Nagar area here today where Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar used to live before the elections in 2014.

The building was now being used as a camp office by the BJP workers.

The fire caused damage to computers and some furniture items which were kept on the ground floor of the building, the police said.

"Electrical short-circuit appears to be the reason behind the fire. However, no one was injured," Karnal SP Surinder Singh Bhoria said.
