Fire breaks out in footwear manufacturing factory

Twenty labourers were rescued today after a fire broke out in a footwear manufacturing factory in Kaladera area in the district, police said.
"Raw materials, manufactured goods and machines were gutted in the incident," they said, adding the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Chief Fire Officer Sanjay Sharma said 12 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
A hydraulic machine was also used in the operation to bring the fire under control, he said.
