However, no one was hurt in the incident. Prima facie, a short circuit could the reason behind the blaze, they said.
They said the fire broke around at 2 AM when the owner of the building and his family were asleep on the first floor of the two-storyed building.
Taking help of the security guard, the family members escaped from the building and informed police and fire brigade, officials said.
Detailed investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the fire, he added.
