Fishermen to commence fishing from tomorrow

The fishermen from the coastal villages in Tamil Nadu would put out to sea early morning tomorrow with the 45-day ban on fishing coming to an end today.
The Assistant director of Fisheries Gopinath said that fishermen should obtain permission from the department before putting out to sea and warned the fishermen against venturing into the sea without valid permit.
The Indian Coastguard official would monitor them at the International Maritime Boundary line,he said.
The ban period was used by the fishermen to repair their fishing boats and nets.
The price of fishes which soared till yesterday and was very high would come down next week, said Kesava Pillai a whole sale merchant.
