Five arrested for IPL betting in Rajasthan

Five people were arrested on the charges of betting on the IPL match between Hyderabad and Bengaluru here in the district, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, police yesterday arrested Mohammad Aslam, Surendra Singh, Narayan Singh, Surendra and Sarvesh for betting in the IPL match last night, SHO (Kotwali) Mahaveer Singh said.

Fifty mobile phones, one LED television, laptops and transaction slips to the tune of crores were recovered from them, the officer said.

A case has been registered and the police is investigating the matter for further details, he added.
