According to the complaint, Vishnu, a resident of Bisawar village in Hathras district, was allegedly looted of Rs 3,600 cash and a gold chain by five persons who also beat him up during his visit here on May 21, they said.
In his application to the court, Vishnu alleged that officials at the Etah city police station and also the Senior Superintendent of Police refused to register his complaint.
Upon the direction of the court, an FIR was lodged in this connection yesterday and investigation is underway, police said, adding no arrests have been made yet.
