The incident occurred last evening when the trio were leaving for Mysuru when a gang of five persons attacked them and snatched the bags containing cash.
The trio had come to Hyderabad on November 25 to purchase gold, but had decided to return after they couldn't get the precious metal at the desired rate, a release from Hyderabad Police said.
"Due to swift action with the use of technology and by verifying the CCTV cameras, the Hyderabad Police cracked the dacioty case within six hours of lodging of the complaint and apprehended five persons and recovered the total cash of Rs 1.26 crore," it said.
