Five-year-old kid dies after falling in open drain
The drain, which was in an incomplete condition, had been flooded due to recent rain. Pratap alias Pandu fell into the water channel in Santhinagar area while going to an anganwadi (government sponsored child-care centre) this morning, they said.
The kid's body was later taken out of the drain.
His parents alleged negligence on part of the municipal authorities led to the death of their son.
