Flair expects 30% rise in sales with celeb endorsements

Leading pen manufacturer Flair today said it expects a rise of 30 per cent in volume of sales with celebrity endorsements and brand associations.
Flair had recently appointed Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan as its brand ambassador. The pen manufacturer also recently launched products on famous cartoon characters Superman, Tom and Jerry to encash their craze among school and college students.
"Flair proposes to launch many new pens with brand associations that enhance consumer experience. Gel pens, ink pens, ball pens with Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan, Hollywood superhero Superman and the globally celebrated Disney character Tom and Jerry pens. This will lead to a spurt of 30 per cent in FY 2016-2017 in sales and add many new customers," Mohit Rathod, Director- Flair pens said in a statement issued here today.
He further said that celebrity endorsements and brand associations have always proven to be cost-effective.
"Amid the rush of pen brands at any retail counter, it is very important to stand out from the crowd and Bollywood and Hollywood stars, cricketers enable that. Celebrity endorsements enhance customers' confidence and promote product purchase and usage," he said.
In the financial Year ending March 2016, the Indian pen industry is valued at about Rs 4,600 crore, including exports of about US $ 220 million.
The USA and South American countries are a big market for Indian pens, that are fast replacing Chinese pens in Middle East and African countries because of their quality and superior writing experience.
