Flautist A V Prakash dies during concert

Veteran flautist A V Prakash died of a massive heart attack during a concert at a temple premises here.
74-year-old Prakash complained of sweating and collapsed during the performance he was giving along with violinist H K Narasimha Murthy at the Chandramouleeshwara temple yesterday.
He was rushed to a hospital but declared brought dead.
Acquaintances close to Prakash said he had requested the violinist to continue with the performance before collapsing.
Prakash was born at Anekere in Hassan District and was a student of popular flautist N Ramani.
He popularised the flute-playing techniques of his guru and trained more than 1,000 students.
Prakash had received state and central government awards for his contribution to music.
