To ensure completion of targets at desired level, the Delhi Chief Secretary has instructed the principal secretaries, secretaries and head of departments (HoDs) to speed up the functioning of their departments.
According to a statement, Spolia while convening the HoDs meeting took a broad review of the developmental activities of the departments and sought their response within a stipulated time period.
He asked the officers to focus on delivery of public services and said they should meet the public regularly to look into their grievances.
The chief secretary also directed the principal secretary to present the updated construction project monitoring module to him apart from submission of an action plan on toilets.
He also expressed concern over the slow progress of construction of Signature bridge and directed the managing director, DTTDC to penalise the contractor for delay in completion of the project and directed that the project be completed by January, 2015, it said.
Spolia directed the CMD of DTC to submit report regarding purchase of DTC buses, installation of GPS in them, re-location of Millennium Bus Depot, construction of new depots and the frequency and monitoring of bus services.
With regard to World Class Skill Centre in collaboration with Singapore government at Jaunapur, Spolia directed the principal secretary (Training and Technical Education) to submit a status report with specific input about the land use.
He also asked the CEO of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board about allotment of EWS flats and directed that the Committee should submit a report on this aspect within two weeks so that the issue could be placed before Lt Governor Najeeb Jung for a decision.
